About Lana

With a lifelong love of acting, Lana Spring grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where as a child she participated in community theatre, high school drama productions and summer acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre. A love of dance led her to enjoy eight years of ballet. As a young adult, she went on to obtain her AA degree in Theatre Arts from Santa Rosa Junior College and later received accolades for her role as Iris in The Nether, an innovative production by Left Edge Theatre Company.

A graduate from the BFA Acting program at UC Santa Barbara, she played the lead role in several productions, including Marianne in Tartuffe, Eva in Linda Alper’s Shanghai, Viola in Twelfth Night, and Ashbe in Am I Blue. At UCSB she also acted in short films with her best friends. Honored for her commitment, talent and promise as an actor, she received the Stanley Glen Award Scholarship in Dramatic Art. At the end of her senior year she received the John and Jody Arnhold Endowed Theater and Dance Award for Generosity of Spirit and Professionalism. Because of her fascination with the beauty of art, she also studied and received a minor in Art History.
